fashion - test shoot

My images where shot at about F4 with the subject (terry) about 1.5 meters from the tinsel background. Alex Dickson also assisted with the setup of the image.

Here I was practicing changing the back ground colour in photoshop, using the refine edge tool with a feather of 94 some areas look good but some are a bit dodgy, it will look better with more practice!

Fashion - Practice with the ring flash

Me Alex and Andrea had a much around shoot in the studio the other day testing out different styles of lighting. The lighting style I used was the ring flash!this is exactly want type of lighting I want to do with my models!

With a different back ground and some hair lighting I think this could be sweat!

Fashion-Studio

Description

I would like to do a contemporary style fashion shoot.
Their is this style of lighting that is done in the film of project X where it is a directional light from a higher angle above the camera. Like a beauty dish.

I want this done in such a way that it creates a hyper reel situations with the models posing in different positions. The camera position will be directly in front of the models.

There will be 3 images done in A3 format. Still unsure if landscape or portrait.

Location - Food

Description

For my food photography folio, I had something in mind of doing simple foods. Beautifying bachelor chow! Alot of the time I end up eating really basic foods because:
A. can't be botherd
B. don't have enough time.
C. Their is no food!!!

I refer to simple food as basic dishes made in minimal time with minimal ingredients, such as:

Breckys / All Day Dinners - Rolled oats, coco pops? rice bubbles? Weat bix? Baked
Beans, Toast, Milo? Roast tomatos, Eggs and Bacon

Noodle dishes - Spag bowl, Laksa, Carbanara, Satays

Baked dishes - Roast dinners, Baked vegies, Casseroles, Pies, Pizzas, Damper, Chips

Other dinners - Stir frys, Stake, Fratarters, San Choi Bow, Salads

Breads - Toasties, Wraps, Ice cream sandwiches, Club sandwiches, Burgers, quesadilla

Deserts - Cakes, Muffins, Berry Sauces with ice cream, Slices, Tarts, CHOCOLATE STRAWBERRIES! / fondue, Milk shakes?

These are just some of the "Simple Foods"  that I enjoy on a regular basis.

I want this folio to be done in such a way, that it's for a cook book for poor uni students. Each image will be shot in the magazine portrait format, and maybe a double spread image with room for the center line. All images will be A3 format. It will consist of six or seven images which ever flows better.

(rough sketch)

Food - test shoot

Brecky

This was the best image from the day, My only doubt is that the coriander leaf is to big. and if the image was less tighter.

The composition mainly, its a bit bland with nothing on it, the real shoot is going to have nice bowls, nice table, nice strawberry's! and drisled in honey.
